Album Notes

Sideways in 3 Suites is a testament of life and how to approach obstacles, which are "Always" figures, gifts and challenges to make life all the sweeter. This album, WET PAINT's 13th, continues the conversation of the three primary dimensions, begun in 1995; Don Pate on stand up bass, Daniel Carter on tenor, alto, soprano saxes, flute, trumpet, clarinet & leader; Doug "dug" Elliot conga, djembe, cuica, clave, hinges, shakers and vox. As the addition of numerous players over the years, spices up the pallete. As this night was the reconvening of many alliances, other wise notable conversationalists; Tilman Reitzle on electric guitar ("7 Echos", "In No Name", "Periphery" & "Emergency Broad Cast Child Line" & soon to be duplicated in hard copy "A Circling") Chris Bradley on drum kit ("A Circling") noted other recordings with these players represented. With latest member Allan Len on electric bass. Malcolm Cecil Engineered this work, mastering through TONTO (Stevie Wonder, Isley Bros., Gil Scott Heron)

This CD is more towards where WET PAINT had laid down "Habibi" back in 2002... more in the directiones this project is headed... everything a bit twisted and askew, touching on numerous genres... swathing a deep rooted vane, flipping the undertow.
