Album Notes

"tomorrow shall be as today" is a chronicle of the amazing interdisciplinary event produced by Wasted Wine and contemporary artists group CAFfeine. The CD captures the show by providing 11 professionally recorded songs by the band and a deluxe 24 page color booklet which contains pictures of the art and lyrics to the music. This album provides an opportunity to experience this cultural masterpiece by providing all the elements from the show.

About the show:
Last December, CAFfeine hosted an exhibition in collaboration with the multi-instrumentalist duo Wasted Wine. The band assigned different original songs from their repertoire to each member of CAFfeine, who then used “their song” as inspiration to create visual artwork. The finished works included paintings, photography, beadwork, sculpture, and mixed media pieces. The event itself consisted of a concert performed by Wasted Wine accompanied by a dramatic unveiling of each piece of visual art as the corresponding song was performed.

This November 2009, they've teamed up again, but tables have turned. Eleven visual artists in CAFfeine gave representative pieces of their artwork to Wasted Wine, and the band has written an original piece of music based on each one.

During the performance Wasted Wine played the eleven songs inspired by the artwork, and between songs gave the audience some insight into the songwriting process and how their interpretation of the art shaped the music. They then performed an extended set of their older music accompanied by belly dancer Brandy White from Belly Muse (pictured on the CD cover).

The show itself will be made made available during late 2009 on the band's youtube channel for fans to relive the experience again and again.
