Raised in the southeastern United States, Will grew up steeped in the folk music of the region. His family's roots span the breadth of the South, from tidewater Virginia and the Carolina low-country, across the mountains of West Virginia and Tennessee, down to the Mississippi River. His songs reflect that heritage, sung and played on 5-string banjo, acoustic guitar and National steel slide guitar.
"...a very strong debut release...powerful songs steeped in the traditions of the south...[Will is] a wonderful singer and musician, but even more impressive is the depth of his songwriting...a survey of the very best elements of modern, acoustic roots music. Like the finest of those who choose to explore their art within bluegrass-friendly confines, White bridges the distance between the past and the present and reveals himself as a continually developing artist." ~Donald Teplyske, Red Deer Advocate, Red Deer, Alberta, fervorcoulee.wordpress.com
