Album Notes

Sounding like the guitar was rolled around in the dirt before recording, this earthy, raw and gritty alternative sounding concoction gets down to the roots. Track by track, this remedy takes you through a journey addressing social issues.

Taking these roots and adding cultural flair from different parts of the world, Woje doesn't just use one "genre" but adds different spices from the world's cupboard to produce these tasty stylings.

"It has a dirty Quentin Tarantino vibe to it, in that I could see people tapping their feet to this. A wonderfully dirty atmosphere. Good Work." - TrippleJUnearthed.com

David Woje has been writing and performing since 2003. In the beginning of 2009, he started a new project focusing around issues of social injustice that surrounds us today. Bringing through the music, awareness and an opportunity to get involved. His new band, "Woje" got together mid 2009 to start raising awareness and to give that opportunity to help illuminate those areas and people affected by injustice.

All proceeds from the hard copy sales from the album Ignite will go toward the nation of Papua New Guinea; a nation where 40% lives in poverty, where there is wide spread malaria, primary health care deficiencies contributing to a high mortality rate and maternal mortality rate and where the individual lives on less than $1USD a day.
