Album Notes

The Joint Operating Agreement music project began in 2007 when a band of Seattle journalists began to work on original songs together at a time our newspaper seemed in imminent danger of being closed by forces beyond our control. As it turned out, the newspaper survives and so does the music, collected here in 12 original songs, eight written by AMBIII and four by Bill Miller. The band includes AMBIII on guitar and vocals, Miller on keys, Monica Guzman vocals, Lino Fernandez drums and arrangements, Casey McNerthney bass, and Amy Rolph violin. We celebrated 2008 by taking the title in the Seattle P-I’s Battle of the Bands, and now release this CD with the same hope, spirit and soul that it was conceived with. Thanks for your support and just for listening to our songs. Peace and harmony, AMBIII
