Aaron Meyer began playing the piano at age four years old and was composing his own music by age nine. Since launching his music career at age twelve, he has released three CD's of original compositions, Journey and Arrival, and After Hours. In 2006, Aaron also released a limited edition live album entitled Live at the Madrid Theatre CD. Aaron's versatile piano style incorporates jazz, latin, classical, and world music influences, and he continues to explore blending electronic and acoustic instrumentation, as well as the use of voice as an instrument.
As a solo artist, Aaron has performed in numerous venues throughout California, including the Madrid Theatre, Louis B. Mayer Theater, and Stanford's Dinkelspiel Auditorium. He has also performed for such notable organizations as Oneness, Spotlight the Arts, The American Lung Association, and Barnes & Noble. Over the years, Aaron has had the privilege of performing for such distinguished personalities as Wink Martindale, Wolfgang Puck, Tom Poston, Susan Sullivan, and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
In addition to his performances both as a solo artist and with the Aaron Meyer Band, Aaron's music has been performed by numerous ensembles, including the Stanford Wind Ensemble, the Calabasas High School Wind Ensemble, San Francisco State University Jazz Band. Throughout 2002, Aaron was featured on KCET (PBS Los Angeles) in a biographical segment entitled "Inspiration is Priceless," and he appeared live on KCET with Yanni later that year. In 2005, Aaron and his band performed a benefit concert for Spotlight the Arts entitled "Meyer @ The Mayer." This event was filmed for CTV, and the special aired for several months.
Aaron received his B.A. in Music Composition from Stanford University and currently resides in Los Angeles.

A prodigy grows up!

I bought this CD and Aaron\'s Journey CD at the same time. I listened to Journey 1st. His compositions and playing style have matured SO nicely. I have lived and breathed Yanni for about 20 years and now After Hours will be included in that sacred list. Thanks Aaron for developing your talent and sharing it with the world. While you may never have the fan base of a pop star (like you would really want that) your list of fans will grow and include those who truely admire what instuments can do for the soul.
