Album Notes

Into The Drink is the newest album from Boston-based singer-songwriter Dave Aaronoff.

Into The Drink reveals Dave Aaronoff as a songwriter exploring new territory. 14 new songs show an injection of roots and country into the rock n’ roll style that Dave has been writing and performing for the past several years.

This album includes dark ballads, comical send-ups and catchy pop songs. It features performances by Aaronoff’s rock n’ roll band the Details, with whom he has recorded two previous albums, as well as his new band the Dirty Ticket, which consists of former members of the Pills and Mollycoddle. Other guest musicians provided pedal steel guitar, violin, upright bass, and harmonica which add to the Americana feel of the album.

Into the Drink was recorded over the past two years in various living rooms around Boston, and at Moontower Studio in Cambridge MA.

REVIEWS

this is a wonderful album, complex and charming.

"into the drink" is dave aaronoff's third CD, and his finest. by blending his harder-rocking instincts and his talent for creating memorable hooks with a rootsy, stripped down sound, aaronoff has put together the kind of record only a true craftsman and enthusiastic student of american and british popular music could create - "into the drink" is like a tour of post-war popular music, but the songwriting and production make the entire album feel like a perfect, single work, almost like one long song. by stripping down his sound, dave aaronoff has built his lushest, most atmospheric, most precise record yet.
