The Slow & Steady Rise

by Aaron Seibert

This solo acoustic album spans twenty years of songwriting and took seven years (2005-2012) to finally complete...like the title says, slow and steady. Like fine bourbon in an oak barrel, crack it open an give it a taste.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
(1) Queen of the Irth - A sarcastic tune originally written in the early 90's. I jammed with it for a time with friend/collaborator Tom Governale in the late 90's. The song sat dormant until 2012 when I decided to tweak it and give it a home on this album. (2) Out Crowd - This is an old tune originally written in 1992, I almost forgot about it. (3) Gonna Find My Way - An autobiographical song i wrote while recording the 2005 session of this album. (4) Judgment Day - Friend/collaborator Bob Valyou wrote the first verse of the lyrics, I took it from there. It was written 2004 and wasn't originally intended for this album. (5) These Days - This song was written in 2005 and was always meant for this album. (6) The Slow & Steady Rise - I wrote this song in 2005 as I was on the train to Philadelphia to visit my good friend Darren Nowicki. (7) Unnecessary - Written for this album in 2005, inspired by a phone conversation with my Dad, Bruce Moquin. (8) Cascade - This is the only 'new' song written in 2012 about a flame that just keeps on burning, and I find myself unable to extinguish. (9) All These Things - Written in the early 90's, Tom Governale helped me with some chord choices. This particular track is a jam from the original 2005 session. (10) I Am The River - Written 1998, always meant for this album and is another chosen from the 2005 session. (11) Hanna Rose - For my daughter, written and recorded 2005.
