Family, love and relationships are the songwriter's main fare. Whether it's the feelings of loss associated with kids leaving the roost in "Where Are The Children" or the nice point-of view twist (outside looking in) on "There's His Broken Heart," she manages to capture moments and feelings with aplomb. Her songs are about real life. "Farewell Bernadette," is truly Irish in flavor, and highlights Abair's effective folk-style storytelling. Her simple and attractive voice sings the story of a tragic love between a Catholic and a Protestant in Northern Ireland.

Carol Abair has been quiet much too long. She says it's been hard to find her voice in the midst of so many talented siblings. Eight to be exact. Now she's ready to let herself shine. She lets us into her inner world, sharing her feelings, her losses and her joy. It's been said that her songs are straight from the heart, and that works for everyone.

Carol was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of retired Gen. Leo R. Abair and Mary Leddy Abair. She grew up on Charlotte Street where kids played hide and seek and kick the can until the streetlights called them home. She now resides in Colchester, Vermont with her husband and eight year old son.

Carol has worked as a Registered Nurse at Burlington's Teaching Hospital for well over twenty years. Psychiatric Nursing being her specialty.
