"Described by some as a female Jeff Buckley, Mary Beth's strength is in her ability to create a soundtrack for modern day life, with the vibrancy of Sheryl Crow and the introspective and heart wrenching songwriting skills of Tori Amos. Her edgy musical persona takes the fluff out of your typical female acts, preferring to be brutal and honest, with a flair for sarcasm, captivating guitar riffs, keyboards, and styles that range from acoustic to all out rock."

I really like What Happened to the Girls? Mary Beth Abella has great lyrics and a real depth of believable emotion within her music and her vocals. My favorite cut is Just Like Me, but there isn't a weak song on this cd. If you like what you hear from the samples here, you’ll love the rest of the cd. I’m looking forward to hearing more from her. Recommended!

Sexy voice with great lyrics

This is definitely one of my favorite CDs as well as female artists. I first heard this artist live in a Colorado venue a few years ago and EVERYTHING that comes out of this little dynamo is amazing! She has the most amazing sweet, soft voice, yet it's powerful and always melodic. There are some artists that hit and miss with their songs, but Mary Beth's target is always bullseye!
