Abiel Mir: salven los peces

Abiel Mir was born in Cuba in 1975. In 1989, he moved to Laurel, Maryland, where Abiel spent the remaining part of his childhood. Abiel realized his musical gift at a young age, his childhood accounts frequent escapades to the church piano where he would sit for hours to create small musical passages. At age thirteen, Abiel officially picked the guitar as his main instrument and in a matter of months he was able to interpret songs.

In 1993 together with his brother and close friends, Abiel founded the music group Amigos de Jesus. This represented a venue for him to write and perform music of his inspiration, as well as, develop skills as an artist.

Abiel received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from Towson University.

In his first independent record entitled Salven los Peces, Abiel offers his songs that are a direct reflection of his walk with God. His album released December 31st, 2001, and is a Latin Art-rock album that displays bits of his musical taste.
