Album Notes

The opening song reminds me of David Bowie,Tricky, and the whole seventie's German&English electronica-scene....the lyrics seems to be partially dreams/images wich follows the music, the words are as exciting as the music is dark and floating....if this is representative of the man's upcoming album,i'm allready looking forward to it!"

ABON is a young Norwegian artist, who shows enormous capacity in his music work, so in music as in lyrics. Even, if you do not know the story of his life, one thing you will feel in his music, Him. You will feel in Abon's music a strong artist who knows what he wants and knows how to achieve it. That is one thing that is many times hard to find in music. In 'Electric Poem' you will get a beat and groovy movement that will keep you up, with your body and mind, because you will just give all of yourself into his CD and swing around between the beats.

You will move around, maybe even fly, if you will let yourself be surprised and to be taken a step higher.

In his first song ' I see you' starts with drumbeat and electro/bass and takes you in this rhythm through the rest of the song till the end. He tells a story of higher level. "Is it true that you and me disappear..." It is up to you which way you will take a message.

Abon continues with 'One direction', which starts with bass beat and sound of violins, which gives a tune more groovy feeling and also tries to keep you down, as you might get lost in directions...reminder on doing the right thing?

'Uneasy' ..."I feel so bad on my own ... so many things I have to do". This is definitely one-way that each and everyone feels. And with his silky tune, finicky rhythm and charming vocals, you will understand it, easy.

'Hopesong', last song on this track, gives you to soon end of Abon art, with universal sounds that gives you a hope for part two.

I must admit, that I waited for a few minutes that I will get a next track out of the CD and I do hope that I will hear it soon.

There are many things that you will notice in his songs such as: Lyrics, they give you a start for thoughts and rhythm gives you a movement, but it is up to you, which way your thoughts will go.

He will direct you emotions and thoughts with drumbeats, violins, universal sounds. He will make you long for more. Until the next CD comes out, I must send you on a ride to visit Abon's web site at http://www.abon.info and to make sure one more time, never judge a book by the cover.
The same time you can also order his CD "Electric Poem"

www.hardrockhaven.net SCORE*6.8 OUT OF 10 Abon the artist has written four contemporary pieces with diverse instrumentation. The songs are very appealing, providing a groove that the listener will find themselves swaying to the beat. Don't be fooled into believing that this a shred fest, hardrock cd, it's not. But for the curious, Abon's "Electric Poem," provides a fresh take on music. The opening track, "I See You," has a driven' drumbeat and a synth or bass line that carries the song from beginning to end. "One Direction," pulsating bass line pulls the listener right into the song. I love the melody of "Uneasy," a smooth song with nice vocals. The finale "Hopesong," provides a fitting close to the CD. The only complaint is this is only a four track CD. It leaves the listener curious for more material to listen to. The CD also features Dj Abstract, Peer Gynt and Stein Helset. Bottom Line: This CD is not for closed minded listeners. It requires a very diverse musical attitude. Pick it up and be pleasantly suprised! Personal Favorites: All Tracks John Kindred"
