notes
Abraham Gustin was born in Caracas, Venezuela.
Gustin is an artist of a very wide spectrum, working as a visual artist and composer fot over 20 years. As the artist said: “For me, there is a renaissance artist who can develop different areas of expression to show his soul, in my case I am using notes and colors to express myself”
In the musical area he has had a very informal education. Very young he studied 1 year of Theory and Sol-fa in the "Juan Manuel Olivares" Conservatory. However, almost all of his education is empirical and self-taught, under the supervision of his father Benjamin Gustin, who was also a popular composer. Later, he took one year of harmony lessons with Gerry Weil, a recognised venezuelan jazz player and composer. Then he took classes with the Italian piano player Mario Sampieri for 5 years.
"La Casa de David" is dedicated to his brother David Gustin.

In the Arts Abraham has develop a long and extensive career. "Purity of expression through color is the virtuosity of Abraham Gustin, a painter, a composer and man of the post-modern world. Rightly so, art writer Abdel Hernández has compared Gustin's "new vocabulary" of painting to James Joyce's and Thomas Mann singular literary achievements. Bringing his Venezuelan heritage to bear on abstract expressionism , the artist creates an inventive dialogue with the lushness of tropical and strong colors, with masterful, fluid brushwork. His paintings are charged with Latin beats rarely present in North America abstract painting. "His work conforms to the drafting of a perfect architecture", Hernández stated, "and that is something that sets him radically apart from the rest of neo-expressionism and Venezuelan abstract expressionists". Wonderful new music
author: GregoryThis cd is by far one of the best dicoveries I have found in many years. I looked up my favorite female vocalist from Venezuela,LEONOR JOVE and found her on this cd. Listen to the sample tracks on songs 1 and 7 and you will hear why. Leonor recorded with a group in the 70's and made a huge impact with her hit in Spanish of Jesus Christ Superstars,"I Dont Know How to Love Him"(No Se Como Amarlo) The rest of the cd is as wonderful as those two track. Rich pure and crisp music that will leave you wanting more from the composer. This entire cd could be a sountrack for a love story themed movie. Smooth soothing and calming for a romantic evening with a loved one. This cd is comparable with the greats of the past like Juan Vicente Torrealba and other greats of the latin music world. GRAMMY material.
