Album Notes

Abraham's Axe is from the Pacific NW, but with a sound more closely related to the south and soutwestern US. Lee Gregory grew up in Bakersfield, and the sound of that city has influenced him in spite of himself. Stan comes from Mississippi originally. You can tell when you hear his music.

The best songs on this album? Depends on what you like. There's a little something for everybody, from acoustic guitar based ballads to out and out screaming rock, with a lot of color and texture in between.

Abraham's Axe is the result of a friendship spanning decades. Lee Gregory and Stan Tingle first met in 1981 and played together in a local band for about two years. They have been making music together off and on ever since. It's a little difficult to pin Abraham's Axe down as far as style. To some it's a Rock group. To others, it's a Country sound, and there's even some Bluegrass material. If you ask them, it's all the above.
