ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Brokeheart Pro is Jeannette Kantzalis of The Chubbies (Sympathy For The Record Industry) latest project.

Jeannette records everything herself on that contraption over there in the corner of my room.

A Brokeheart Pro has released videos and a very popular blog "Josephine The Outlaw King" that's turned into a novel.

The story of Josephine is also the outline of the album Jeannette's working on now with the same title.

There's always something going on with her...

Changeable chanteuse
This CD is an ambitious project that pulls the listener across an assortment of genres. "Bleed On" aims at resurrecting the signature feel of The Pretenders' 1979 "Precious/The Phone Call," while other tracks are influenced by grrrl-punk, quasi-alt-country, Mazzy Star, and '90s pop, and suffused with lyrics expressing the type of angst generally found in a young woman's tearstained and under-lock-and-key diary. With plenty of earnest determination and impassioned intent, the artist tries very ardently to evoke --- but is a tad short of doing so --- mature Nick Cave- or P.J. Harvey-style emotion.

I first heard Jeannette on myspace! I knew that first time that I had to own her cd's! I am so glad that I made this purchase! It is one of my fav's now! :D

Outlaw Steve

Raw & rockin'!
This desert darlin' rocks it dirty and sweet with bad-ass vocals, smoking guitars, sassy lyrics & rippin' tunes. If you like your gals soft and nice, this CD's NOT FOR YOU! This is one tough kitty with claws, daddy-o.

A lot that's right & enough that isn't
Amy Lotsberg at Collected Sounds gives this band points for trying and so do I! The singer has obviously worked very hard and seems sincere. The album puts out a lot of naughty talk but where's the love and heartbreak? It all seems like getting back at someone. Pretty voice but guitars sound off. I'd like to hear more from the band.

When I started playing the CD it sounded Chris Issacish but then I realized it fit the tone of the album, and it unfolds like a novel. The songs really rock and Jeanette\'s voice is so strong and evocative it draws you in. You won\'t be disappointed with this CD, I wasn\'t!

Growing On Me
Good, solid album. I am more enamored that she does it all herself, but like the music too. With each listen, her music grows on me. I'm hoping to end up looking like some ol' gothic building all vine covered and mossy green. I look green in green. But enough about me. I'm enjoying the album and recomend others give it a listen.

Very talented musician, excellent person
Received the cd last week and has not left my cd player yet. Even managed to get my dad hooked.

Jeannette is a very talented musician with a wonderfully haunting sound.
I fell in love with her work the first time I heard it.

I was very excited to get this CD, and was not disappointed, it is the best CD I have bought in awhile, and has already become a favorite for me to listen to.

Simply Sublime
Her album has hardly been off my car stereo! She paints a sublime and evocative picture with her music. Her lyrics are of a Springsteenian level and its amazing to find out all this comes from one person!
Just buy it....you know you want to!
