Album Notes

A BRIEF VIEW OF THE HUDSON
"GO NORTH TO FIND ME"

"It's not often that a band sounds like nothing you've
ever heard and still sounds good. That's what you get
from A Brief View of the Hudson".(-N.Y. Sun) This
unconventional duo is the brain child of Texan Ann
Enzminger and Canadian Nicholas Nace. Their off-kilter
songs and music combine acoustic guitars, streaming
riffs and "...Ann Enzmingers arrestingly powerful
vocals which are well tuned to the duo's graceful
songs of indie-folk heart."(-Time Out NY) They were
also named "Best Folk Duo of 2005" by the NY Press.
Since meeting in drama school and forming the band
four years ago the pair have become veterans of the
downtown performance scene and are the house band
every Monday night for The O’Debra Twins 'Show & Tell'
open mic at the Bowery Poetry Club. In 2004 they self
released their "...beautifully
imperfect..."(Americana-uk.com) debut EP 'Go North to
Find Me' on their own label North/South Records and
followed it up in early 2005 with the release of 'The
Art Star Sounds Compilation' entirely produced and
compiled by Nicholas Nace.
This winter they have also been included on the brand
new Crafty Records compilation 'Anticomp Folkilation'
featuring tons of talented musicians.
