Founded in 1993 in Santa Monica, California with only 18 singers, the Angel City Chorale has grown to 100 members and hosts its own concert series in Los Angeles.

Angel City Chorale served as the official choir for the 2000 Democratic National Convention at Staples Center, singing with Stevie Wonder, Diane Schuur, Luther Vandross and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

The choir's Chamber Ensemble has recorded three CD's for Megatrax, to be used in television promos for the Olympics and the holidays, and for drama programs.

Other Los Angeles appearances include the PeopleSoft convention at the L.A. Convention Center and performances at the Conga Room, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the John Anson Ford Theatre, UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, the Peter Strauss Ranch, and the Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Contest.

In December of 1999, the choir recorded its first CD, Why Walk When You Can Fly.

Produced by Rick Krizman, it features favorite concert selections from the past few years, and is available via the choir's website.

The Director Sue Fink is the choir's founder, artistic director, and conductor.

Her dynamic energy can be seen and felt in the unique spirit and spontaneity that distinguish this choir from other choral groups.

Sue graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied conducting with Roger Wagner.

She toured internationally as a member of the Roger Wagner Chorale, and went on to establish the Oriana Renaissance Ensemble and the Los Angeles Women's Community Chorus, serving as conductor for both groups.

In addition to maintaining a private voice studio in Los Angeles, she composes and arranges for choral organizations and writes for television and movie soundtracks, as well as compositions and arrangements for many choral organizations.

As a singer-songwriter, Sue has released two critically acclaimed albums, one of which received an award of excellence from the National Association of Independent Record Distributors (NAIRD.) Dear Listeners, When the idea of recording a CD is born, it's a little like a feather that's been picked up and swept away by a sudden gust of wind.

The feather flies this way and that as thoughts take shape and a direction is decided upon.

Here finally, after days and weeks and months, the feather has come to rest and a dream has been realized.

This CD, our second, is a true labor of love.

The music has been recorded with all the excitement and passion and inspiration that could possibly unite one hundred voices.

The versatility of our wonderfully talented singers and musicians blends into a sound that is uniquely our own.

And performing a wide-ranging collection of musical styles - from classical to jazz to gospel to folk - has become our hallmark.
