REVIEWS

Exciting power folk on the cutting edge
author: E. Eddas

Anyone who has been following his career knows that Joel pours his heart into everything he does. This album is not only no exception, it is the next step on what promises to be a refreshing career. From the gut wrenching "Dangerous" to the purely inspired "Truce" "Happy Songs" follows a progression through some of lifes most difficult moments and culminates with "Wake up Smiling" a confirmation of hope. This album talks to the heart and is packed with juicy music and choice lyrics. I loved it through and through and look forward to more from this up and comer. Kuddos kid!
