Album Notes

Los Acustilocos is a vocal and instrumental ensemble with a diverse repertoire of original, folkloric and popular music encompasing many different languages including Spanish, English, French and Italian, and an array of different Caribbean and Latin rhythms. Born in 1999 as a workshop for musicians to learn from each other and realize their original compositions, Los Acustilocos has evolved into a tightly knit band with busy performing schedule.

Los Acustilocos has performed at many distinguished venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, the 92nd Street Y's Kaufmann Concert Hall, as well as many universities and clubs.

First and formost a group of friends, Los Acustilocos brings this spirit into their music. Their debut album includes 9 original songs in four languages featuring percussion, flute, guitar, acoustic bass, Venezuelan cuatro and vocals.
