In the most unexpected places at the least expected times, artists discover a musical jewel like none before in their lives. So it is with Amy Carol Webb and Gary & Ellen Bukstel. When these three met at a songwriter round in Miami Beach and casually lifted up their voices together, the dazzling sound startled everyone in the room. It felt remarkable. It felt like family. It felt like fate. Growing up, Amy's parents gathered with their best friends every Sunday evening to sing in an a'capella harmony circle into the night while the children resisted sleep in the next room. As her brothers came along the Webb Family Singers sang for church socials, weddings and such across Texas and Oklahoma. Half a continent away, Gary and Ellen were growing up in Miami. Ellen was already playing guitar and singing around South Florida when little brother Gary piped up with the clever harmonies and perfect pitch that created their signature brother/sister sound. Now these three have joined voices in a shimmering set of original songs celebrating family, friends . . . and the sheer joy of being born to sing.

I enjoy the great harmony presented in this CD. I enjoyed Amy Carol Webb at the Stephen Foster Folk festival over this current Memorial day weekend. Her presentation of the "Horses goes down to the water" was awesome at the festival. She's a great performer and I will look for her name at future events
