Album Notes

Celtic Heart is the Adagio Trio’s newest CD release (2008). We spent many years performing a mix of classical, folk, and religious music. However, this CD is our first all-Celtic recording. A lot of work has gone into this as it has taken several years to get these tunes ready for production. This new endeavor has been exciting because we made all the arrangements ourselves. We carefully picked out tunes that we really loved, most of which are standard Celtic fare. We are classically trained musicians, however, each of us has attempted to add a traditional flavor to this CD by studying this music with Celtic musicians. Therefore, we hope that we have enhanced these arrangements with the Celtic spirit.

This is great music, tranquil but not smaltzy. I play it during working meetings and it is requested often. We find it helps keep our stress level down. Audible beauty!
