Album Notes

"Adam Balbo has spun together a strangely comforting album of unique observations that will provide the listener a perfect nook to crawl into while our overpopulated and overstimulated world spins on by." [Avery McTaggart, The Deli SF]

"His songs function like funhouse mirrors for humanity and offer solace for anyone who feels clobbered by pop culture, politicians, and the general stupidity of the world." [Gerry Mak, Flavor Pill]

"I can't tell exactly what's Adam music like, you've got to listen to it yourself, as it is damn good." [Wu Nan, from an email]

"...intelligent, witty, often explicit lyrics on a base of lo-fi folk." [Johanna J. Bodde, Insurgent Country]

"Folk music for the dispossessed." [David Cowling, Americana UK]

"...equal parts humour and venom." [Morley Seaver, antiMusic.com]

"Nice turns of phrase and unusual thoughts pack each song..." [Song, By Toad]

"Adam Balbo is different. He’s unique ... 6 Outta 9 w/Beats is ... completely unvarnished and unpretentious ... You never quite know where Balbo is going to go, but it’s a fun ride." [Wildy's World]

"This is quite good indeed." [J-Sin, Smother.net]

"i can't rember what i was gonna say but i bet it was gonna be good"

this cd is soNICE! the type you get addicted to and start playing favorites with...like i crave to hear a certain song suddenly, and want it right away. i love the mood swings. the seemingly everyday yet subtle beats. the funny, dejected, witty lyrics. oh, and "Rock Ballad" is fricking awesome! but you "really need [the] song to tell you why"
