Now, his heart's face has finally had its stitches taken out, and the swelling in his pride's gut is starting to go down. And that is what his new album, Walk It Off, released October 1, 2010, is all about; recovery. It's reflective, revealing, sappy, quirky, angry, silly, and sometimes a little naughty. With so much focus in the music industry these days on keeping tracks under four minutes, and maintaining a consistent style, Byer lets the music go where it needs to, telling the story it has to share, and giving each track the freedom to be so many things at once. He explores various genres such as alternative, classic rock, singer/songwriter, and even a touch of country; wherever the music takes him.
