------

Adam Grace started playing music at the tender age of four.

Growing up in Tupelo, Mississippi, he was exposed to the music of the city's most famous musicians: Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis.

The rich musical culture of the South was a prime breeding ground for Adam's early training in Piano.

At eighteen years old, Adam moved to New York City to pursue a life in Music and Theater.

While there, he played in several bands and built quite a name for himself as a Blues/ Rockabilly pianist and eventually his voice landed him a role on Broadway.

After four years of life in the Big City, he moved back to Mississippi... before he lost his mind.

As fate would have it, he landed in Starkville, Mississippi and started playing with a popular group known as "Farmer's Soul".

It was with this group that he truly learned how to combine his sound with Psychedelic Rock and Roll.

They toured the south for several years playing packed houses night after night.

It was also in this group that he found the musicians to record his first album.

Adam's debut album, "Fasso Nation", showcases the tantalizing mix of Guitar Blues, Psychedelic Rock, and improvised jams.

Song after song is crafted with catchy melodies, ferocious guitar solos, and visionary lyrics.

Like the quirky little song "Electric Fence", which asks each of us the question: "How'd you like your day? Did you work for the same old pay? Dollars make sense when you live inside an Electric Fence."

Teamed with Pip Pipkin on guitar, Jeremy Ward on drums, and Ross Parker on bass, Adam gets lost inside some major jams eventually finding his way back to sanity and leaving us all very fortunate to have witnessed "Fasso Nation".

This guy is talented. I got this CD recently from a friend that knows Adam. I must say that it hasn't left the car CD player yet. The big question is why am I just now hearing about Adam Grace?? It seems that he should be all over the place. So the CD has a wide range of styles. It takes you on a musical journey from the first song. The favorite in my mind is "Subway". This song has a killer jam at the end and these guys are top musicians. OK nuff said... buy the CD if you haven't yet!!!

I had a gun to my head. Trying to muster courage to end it all while listening to a c.d. that my girlfriend bought I heard a song called 'electric fence' that made me realize I'm not alone in this same daily routine. It was then I decided to live but never again with that fence arond me.

Can't get enough

I recently bought this CD and I love the song "Electric Fence". Adam really makes a great point in this tune: We sometimes don't realize that we are constrained by our Government/ money/ jobs. But at the same time we shouldn't try to escape them or we may get fried by the electric fence. This songs lyrics can be taken at face value. This is not the case for most of his music. Inside the other songs are hidden deeper messages. Like the song "Freak of the Year", which seems to show a darker side of Adam... a side that is plaqued by some sort of self- alienating demon. Then there are subtle love songs like "Sleep", which seems to be an ode to a new love. The less subtle "Good to be Home" tells of a lover taken for granted and lost. All of the sudden we are back to "Blue Van Lemon" which seems to be a foot- in- mouth anthem of how good they percieve their own music to be. The different emotions that are touched on in this album seem to range from the subtle to the sublime. Overall I am thrilled that there are musicians willing to put such variety into an album, unafraid of projecting some true emotion, however sappy it may be at times. The music is top notch, especially the drummer, who reminds me of a time when drummers were supposed to carry the band... which, musically, he does! Buy this CD and I promise you will be delighted.
