CURRENT is a collection of innovative compositions for trumpet and piano. Each piece explores the lyrical possibilities of the trumpet and celebrates a congruent dialogue between trumpet and piano. After four years of collaborative performing, and premiering and commissioning new compositions, this album took form. Featuring original compositions by Brandon Hendrix, Amy Dunker, Mark Francis, David Cutler, and Steven Landis.
CURRENT was recorded on May 8-11, 2011 in Ford Auditorium on the beautiful Berry College campus.
