From guitar From the British Isles comes guitarist Adam Moore, with his mostly instrumental CD Curious Liquid, featuring heavy riffs, hard rock melodies and blazing solos influenced by Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Robert Fripp and Steve Vai. Moore set up his own label, Evesound to release this true one-man-band album, doing all the performing, arranging, production and engineering himself. Aside from the blazing rock, he's not above throwing in some esoterica, such as the spoken word piece "Rope Trick", the swirling chord-clouds in "Eve And After", or his freely improvised acoustic tune "Rare Shimmer". "The Lotus Heart" has a thoroughly modern sound, in the Vai tradition, treating the guitar fan to some wildly exotic licks. Moore has certainly laid a good foundation here for a career in instrumental music.
Adam Moore is primarily a self-taught musician and had been influenced by artists as deverse Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Steve Vai, Freak Kitchen, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck and Pete Townsend, Richard Thompson and Joni Mitchell. Adam has a love of orchestral and film music, jazz arranging, electroacoustic and ambient music and brings these influences to bear on his writing. As with any musician worthy of the name, Adam is a perpetual student and continues to study music and its related philosophies, theory, the guitar and composition. He focuses on turning that knowledge into the kind of songs that turn heads, cause the foot to tap, the air guitar to ring out and possibly a tear to fall.
