The Northern Lights are seen in the Artic Circles' winter period of eternal darkness. An eerie silence and a technicoloured light display in the sky above, so bright at times it creates it's own kind of 'daylight'. Auroras are in fact a luminous electrical atmosphere phenomenon viewed at both the South and North Poles. You have to be in Antartica to see the Aroura Austrais so it is less known but the Aurora Boroais over the North Pole is well known and commonly called "The Northern Lights".
Chris Adams lives in Scotland, under The Northern Lights, and he is also a phenomenon of the music world with emotion packed guitar playing and composing. Chris uses a mix of electric and acoustic guitars to add subtle shades and feelings to his music and has a wide following all around the World already. Chris also plays the keyboards on his impressive Albums.
Chris kicked off his solo efforts in 1999, embarking upon an instrumental rock career. But by 2002, he had joined forces with John and Geoff Whitbread, described by Chris as “two brothers with phenomenal talent.” John’s vocal technique and Geoff’s drumming skills meshed marvelously with Chris’ guitar playing. These musicians, perfectly in sync with each other, found themselves moving in a more traditional “song based” direction.
“I still write both instrumental and vocal pieces,” says Chris. His solo career is still going strong; he has three singers and a number of instrumentalists at his disposal
for recording and for live shows. The music continues to be guitar based with a focus on guitar virtuosity.
Chris has played the Main Stage at three H3 Festivals in Britain, played guitar for a Honda Advertisement and recorded the soundtracks for two full length movies. He has also self-released close to a dozen Albums which he sold at his Concerts and through his MySpace Page and sozocd.com Web Site.
The first non-New Zealand resident artist to be signed by Tree Records, this Album is his first new Album under Tree Records who re-issued his last two Albums both here at CD Baby and on iTunes in July, 2008.
You can keep up with Chris' career on his unique page at Tree Records website which is the Official Website link on this page. You can also join his Newsletter List as well from that page.
