The musicians all gathered around the magic microphones. They bled the HEART and SOUL of LOVE and PAIN. Leaving no stone unturned, or untossed for that matter. This FUNKIEST of organ records features not only the SCREAMING Hammond that the universe has grown to adore, but also SCONE's sexy debut as a vocalist. The shear natural talent of that lunatic is freakin' TRIPPY. Mix that with strings composed by Alex Mincek. You have a record that is completely unique. A sure fire win for ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!!!!

The Country Squire returns to capture soul of the B3
author: John Patterson
In a world where Larry Goldings has kidnapped the sound of the B3 and wrung every last bit of fun, sweat and imagination out of it...here comes Scone to drive a stake through the heart of every kid with a Larry Young record and a notion to be boring.
Scone is the only man alive who can (and has) backed up Lou Donaldson at The Village Vanguard, and is also willing to cut his own path through the modern B3 wasteland with vocoder freakouts, sexy string-laced soul ballads, and funk Hammond stylings forged from the masters. All without a hint of irony, nostalgia or self-consious mannerisms.
The killer band is a mix of Daptone stablemates and first call New York City jazzmen. Drummer Rudy Petschauer (Jack McDuff) and alto sax player Ian Hendrickson Smith (check out his own Hard Bop releases on Sharp 9) lead the pack in kicking asses and taking names here. Funk genius, Tenor-toter Neil Sugarman (Sugarman 3, Dapkings) squeels his way into your heart, while guitarist Al Street (Sugarman 3 and NYC side-laureate) proves once and for all he's Odell Levy's bastard son.
If you want another Sam Yahel record, don't buy this. If you want another jam band throwaway...run away. But if you want to hear the what the future of the Hammond B3 would have sounded like before it was hijacked by the Berkeley School of Snoozic, listen up and get High As A Rocket.

sugarman three minus one plus four
author: Steve Harvey
Some great funky tunes on this CD, a kind of evolution of Sugarman Three`s Soul Donkey but with vocals and strings. Can`t wait for the next one.
