Album Notes

INTO LIGHT is Gary Adamson's first solo CD on Water's Edge Music.

Released on the cusp of the new millennium, INTO LIGHT is a song cycle that that revisits the past while looking forward, with hope, to a brighter tomorrow.

Stylistically, INTO LIGHT pays homage to the progressive rock music of the late 60's and early 70's.

Memorable melodies and complex harmony vocals are interwoven over multi-layered instrumental tracks.

Echoes of Brian Wilson, the Beatles, Yes, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young can be heard, blended together in a new and interesting way.

Standout tracks include: "All We Need", a Beatlesque look at the 60's generation, "Aurora", dedicated to Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, "A Place/Turns To Silence", and more...14 tracks in all.

Gary Adamson, a New York based musician/composer, performed all the lead and backing vocals, and also played many of the instruments on the CD.

Gary performs live as a solo artist, and with his band, in the New York area. He also has written and recorded music for documentary films and television, including the theme for the recent Emmy-nominated Disney TV show, "Secrets of The Animal Kingdom".
