Familiar Christmas songs, arranged and performed on piano, this collection offers 8 favorites with two separate orchestrations: solo piano and/or piano and strings. The strings (keyboard violins and violas) offer a soothing accompaniment to the bright sound of the piano, while the piano performances are strong enough to stand on their own. Either way, enjoy them all. A bonus original track is offered at the end of this collection.
The Christmas songs were recorded on December 13, 2008 on a circa 1885 acoustic Steinway Model C grand piano at the Marblehead Arts Association (King Hooper Mansion) in Marblehead, Massachusetts (recorded live while patrons enjoyed the artwork within) . "Winter Weather" is an original composition from the "Etched In Stone" album, recorded October 9, 1999 on the same piano. Arrangements and performances by Adam Zampino.
