Guitar-driven indie pop, melodic, concise bursts of song, catchy, idiosyncratic, as indie as it gets, one-man-band-in-the-basement, neatly disheveled, musically mostly sunny with a lyrical raincloud fast moving in, as reality often does. :)

Having fronted previous, melodic indie pop and post-punk Boston bands (Jumprope, Miranda Warning, Beginners Only) through six albums and hundreds of live shows, Ad has finally gotten around to solo recording. After a couple of years tinkering with recording methods and listening through his demos of over 230 unfinished pop songs, we now have a first release that is as indie as it gets. "Pop Supraliminal" is self-composed, performed, and recorded - a learning process, an experiment put on record. Exuberant and unafraid to exhibit flaws, in the best indie tradition, this collection is a great addition to the world of one-man-band-in-the-basement-studio works, and a great introduction to Ad's musical style. And as the opening track promises, there's "much more to come." A second album of Ad's early tunes from his band Beginners Only is already in the works.
