ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 2003 drummer Jeff Clayton and guitarist Eric Carrillo hooked up with bassist Ben Sherman and Vocalist Jared Lawson. While establishing themselves in the local scene of Bakersfield, CA, the foursome won the interest of Electric Cowboy Records and were offered a recording deal. In April 2005, they signed to Electric Cowboy Records and began writing and recording their debut CD entitled Born, which was released in May of 2006. Shortly before release Addiction Theory added William Hudson, formerly of ERace and My October, to the line-up. This 5-piece has a heavy but melodic sound with diverse influence. Each song showing the musicianship and determination to win you over. Addiction Theory is on a mission to show that they don’t have to follow the trends to make good music.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR!
I think my favorite thing about this cd AND this band is the eclectic mix of funk, metal and harmony that, when blended, just WORKS. El Diablo con Queso is so catchy it should be illegal. I wish I had something to compare them to, for those of you who haven't heard them. Unfortunately (and fortunately!!), Addiction Theory cannot really be compared to anything out there right now. They refuse to fit neatly in a box, and we should ALL be grateful for that. If you haven't picked this cd up yet, do yourself a favor and buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Delicious
I saw these guys play in Hollywood and they rawk. I was going to see a friends band which I hate to say doesn't come close to Addiction Theory. The CD is great, but the live show does them justice. Highlights of the CD Nightcrawler and Already Dead.

Totally kick ass
Dude this CD kicked major ass. My favorite song was Hollow, totally awesome.

Its refreshing to hear a band that doesn't follow the trends. These guys definately bring a unique blend of influences into their music. Most of the songs on this CD are structured very well. At the same time, the not so intricate tunes catch you with a strong hook. I would of liked to hear more lead guitar throughout. Listening to this CD, I found one drop in the energy, but that may be due to mediocre production. I can't imagine what Addiction Theory would sound like if this CD was recorded and engineered by a top producer. Excellent freshman release by this CA band.

YOUR COCK BETTER BE OUT, CAUSE YOUR GONNA ROCK!
Born......it doesn't get any better than that! I am super impressed with how the guys have executed such a creative liberating sound, not to mention the kickass art work that is in and all over the album. You really can't compare them to any other sound out there. When you here one of there songs, you instantly know who it is.....and that's something that has been written all over "Born"! This is an album that you keep in your CD player for months at a time; never taking it out, in fear that someone else will want to barrow it! Good thing I bought two copies.......and I suggest that all of you do the same!!!!
