For singer/songwriter Zane's third CD she has enlisted the aid of virtuoso guitarist Andrew Green as both collaborator and arranger. More than willing to blur the boundaries between jazz, rock, pop and country, the duo have succeeded in creating a highly polished and well thought out merger of the genres. A Stranger in Town expresses it’s own distinctive perspective of heartbreak, emancipation, shattered illusions and hopefulness in its refreshing re-imaginings of well-known and forgotten gems. Zane is ably assisted by Green on guitar and electric bass and is given the space to show off her multi-octave range and emotional depth. Todd Isler on hadgini, Jorge Roeder on bass and Jordan Perlson on drums round out a stellar selection of backing musicians. Jim Clouse makes a special guest appearance on drums and Hamcrest Riverton hands in a memorable cameo on Zane’s original, Girl at the Bar.

As her husband and loyal fan, i guess you could say that i am biased! ... but, i have watched and listened as Adele has grown over the years to blossom into a full and complete vocalist, in command always, and emotionally right on the button, in touch and vulnerable, without being sappy. a huge voice with soooo much heart!... my favs: because of toledo, two different worlds, it never entered my mind, girl at the bar, and stranger.....oh, and don't forget the haunting ending of in the darkest place. take a bow, dear!
