A wonderful album!
author: Heike
I first met Ade in 1981, during my time in Cheshire. He was then regularly performing at the Sandbach Folkclub. The last time I heard him was in 1985. He had a gig in a Pub, together with John Stoker.
And now, 25 years later, I discovered that he had made an album – “Green Man Said”. I ordered it and was very curious and excited when it finally arrived
What would it be like? Would I still like his music?
To cut a long story short: Yes, I like it very much. There actually is not one song on this album I don’t like. And this is not just nostalgic jabbering … like: He is an old friend and I just can’t say anything critical …
No, I have got this CD for several weeks already – and I listen to it frequently. Do I have a favourite song? One day it’ll be “World gets in the Way” – and another day it’ll be “Night on Earth” or “Out Tonight”. I could go on like this. So I better stop – and recommend: Buy this album!

Fun, haunting tunes; poignant lyrics to listen to.

A wonderful CD. Fun to listen to the music; Ade has put together a great group of musicians. The lyrics are worth listening to and help your thoughts wander. "World Gets in the Way" is a lesson for love and life. "Night on Earth" is full of rich imagery. Well worth it. A joy each time I hear it.
