Adi Sappir is a cellist and vocalist based in Melbourne,Australia.
Her song writing is intimate, lyrical and infused with her classical and cultural influences.
In Israel, her home country, she received classical training and studied ethno musicology.
She also played in chamber music ensembles and took part in creating music for theatre, world and rock music.
Since coming to Australia, Adi has been exploring the possibilities of cello and voice.
Her second album, Insomnia is an intimate conversation between cello and voice, accompanied by evocative lyrics in English and Hebrew.
It expresses life, parenthood and relationships.
