Album Notes

Andy, Dennis and Jeff, known as ADJ live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Semiprofessional musicians, they began recording in 1998 at the urging of a close following of fans. They built Spirit Valley Studio in 1998 and recorded their first track to Extempore in March of that year. All thirteen tracks of this album are presented in chronological order, with minimal post processing and no mixing. Everything on Extempore was recorded live directly to a 2-track digital disk. What you hear is the evolution of ADJ from 03/20/98 to 03/29/02.

ADJ is Andy Roltgen on MIDI guitar, Dennis Williams on drums and Jeff Roltgen on the Chapman Stick. All three men are lifetime students of philosophy, physics, music and technology.
