Album Notes

Alta Vista Sky was recorded at Bubblehaus Studios in Chicago with engineers Matt Crowley, Earl Talbot and Andrew Twiss.

The songs feature Katie Todd on piano, Stephanie Fletcher on violin, Eric Remschneider on cello and Mick Scott on mandolin.

Donna has performed on many stages in the Chicagoland area, including the Uncommon Ground, Schuba's, Lucille's, Charlie's Coffeehouse and at the Navy Pier Beer Garden. She has perfomed on stage singing harmony with Buddy Mondlock, Robbie Fulks, the late Tom Dundee & Kyle Vincent.

Donna's music appears in the Uncommon Ground Coffeehouse compilation "Live at the Uncommon Ground." She released All the Riches of the World l997 and Alta Vista Sky in 2002.

In l990-91, Donna played guitar and sang backup for The Art Thieves, a local Chicago band, headed by John Kimsey. During that time, The Art Thieves released "Field of HaHa." Art Thieves drummer Dr. Brad co-produced her first CD.

In l996 and l997 Donna wrote songs for a children's educational theater company, Green Light Performing Company, directed by Domenick Danza. Her song "Invisible Light" was performed by the company at the Adler Planetarium (no relation). Donna also worked with writer Paula Kamen, designing the soundtrack for her play "Seven Dates With Seven Writers." Donna used all local music for the production.

Donna's songs have been featured on WFMT's "The Midnight Special," WNUR in Evanson, WDCB & other folk stations. In l997, she was the voice of the Little Lotto radio jingle "It's easy to play Little Lotto."

Donna continues to write and perform and is currently working on a new collection of songs in Nashville to be released October, 2007.
