While a general sweep might bring to mind The Beatles, Fountains of Wayne and some unforgettable 80's artists, the final product is nothing you can cram into a handful of definitions. Simply brilliant, inspired power pop.

Album Notes

Named after a drive-in theater from their hometown of Tulsa, OK, pop-rock trio Admiral Twin are absolutely peerless in the unpredictable world of illegal street chainsaw fighting. They also write catchy songs and aren't afraid of using brazen harmonies, eccentric arrangements, and cheap thrift shop keyboards to get their musical point across on their self-produced CDs. What, exactly, is their musical point? Well, it has something to do with bears and aeronautics and abandonment issues. You know...that kind of stuff. Just have a listen. The band has toured extensively across North America, and their music has been used in various feature films and TV shows.

They've done it again! Once again, Admiral Twin has put out a quite a smorgasbord for even the most discerning of pop/rock appetites! If you thought melodic alternative was dead, think again --it lives on in this latest release from the ever-challenging Admiral Twin. The songs on this CD fill your head with melodic sugarplums and lyrical bits of genius at once both primal and sublime.

No joke- get comfortable, turn the phone off and don't expect this to be "background music" for the first 987 listens. As soon as you tear off the shrinkwrap, this album explodes like a pandora's box of music you just can't put away nor get out of your cellular memory. With a wide-ranging palette that will make you laugh with delight and cause your eyes to bug out with surprise, you might not have ever guessed that so many Pop strains could be so darn compatible. While a general sweep might bring to mind The Beatles, Fountains of Wayne and some unforgettable 80's artists, the final product is nothing you can cram into a handful of definitions. Simply brilliant, inspired power pop.
