A very unique sound. "IN THE OIL" left me wanting more. "DRAGON" followed along with my childhood heroes (wrestlers). How could my genre not relate to the WWF? Amazing lyrics all around with a touch of creative guitar work. Thank you AGM, for a breath of fresh air.

A Royal Feast for the Ears and Imagination
author: Benjamin Paint
Two Red Herrings isn't an album; it is a musical storybook. With his Dark-David-Gray-meets-glimmerings-of-early-Peter-Gabriel style, Grey’s music is very melodic at times, but also dares to venture into unexpected chords and time changes. Combined with mythic lyrical imagery and a slightly foreboding musical tone, Grey offers a royal feast for the ears and imagination.
I think what sets Grey apart from most other writers is his lyrics. He crafts awesome stories which can be jarring at first for those expecting the garden variety pop menu of songs about love and lovemaking. Regardless, you will unlikely avoid being lured in by Grey’s embodied performance and intimate production. In this sense, his songs are like Zen Koans: they don’t explain everything, but rather point to a truth and leaves it up to you to figure it out... or not. Either way, you’ll be led to a mischievous, playful smile. In other words, I'm pretty sure he is not being metaphorical at all ... but merely telling rich stories for the fun of it. And this is the beauty of Two Red Herrings: it doesn't carry the weight and seriousness associated with self-important poetry; it is just cool. My favorites are Mites, Dragon, Two Red Herrings and Midas Kiss (but those are the most melodic – I’m kind of a pop junky). Check it out. You'll dig it! It's a Perfect Winter Album.

By far my favorite album of all time, the songs take me back to a more simple time, my personal faves are Dragon, Old Grey Flying Men, and Thanks History, Adrians vocals are awesome, a must for people looking to get away from overmarketed crap that is on the radio!

Mind-escaping

This entire CD is a story - from the soft beginning to the thunderous ending, every single song is beautifully composed and full of music. Together with a bottle of red wine, the CD makes for an entire evening. It's all I've been listening to since the weather turned cold!
