  • Amazing artist. So glad I stumbled on to her
    author: Michelle

This is an amazing CD. Every time I listen to it I am amazed even more. What an amazing songwriter, with such an earthy, sensual and evocative voice. So full of depth. I love the title track, Love to you, December and feel you breaking... who am I kidding- there isn't a bad song on this disk....

  • A great folk find
    author: Amy

I found Adrianne by recommendation from the women of Girlyman (formerly The Garden Verge) on their website. I came to CD Baby and listened to some clips and couldn't wait to order. Her voice is soulful and mellow, and this CD has mournful ballads as well as catchy beats and songs with more of a pop-folk sensibility. Love it, and can't wait to buy more of her albums!

  • Simply wonderful
    author: Rhianna

Adrianne, you continue to astonish your listeners and attract new ones by your amazing talent. I love this CD! Those who don't have it yet, buy it--you don't know what your missing--you'll realize when you can't hit the stop button. When are you coming to Troy?

  • Quite simply: brilliant!
    author: sjm

Having watched the film 'Eulogy' I immediately loved the song 'Comets' and did all the research I could to find out the owner of this brilliant voice. Didn't know what to expect with the rest of the album, but it turned out to be one of the best 'blind' purchases I've ever made. It's been in my player for over a week and it just keeps sounding better & better. Can't wait for the next release!

  • The Gal Can ROCK!!!
    author: Tina

I can't stop playing this CD! When it's not on, I sing the songs from beginning to end over and over in my head. Adrianne's songs just get better and better. The words find just the right place in my heart every time!! Truly a TREASURE!!

  • folk-pop miracle
    author: Brianna Lane

Immediately the sound of a solid driving strum of an acoustic guitar tricks you into believing that you are about to listen to just another folky chick. Then before you know it the drums kick in and tasty electric guitar riffs dot the songs like the stars of which Adrianne sings. Adrianne’s voice is the guiding light of 10,000 Stones, a folk-pop miracle. While listening I often wondered how such original and interesting melodies could feel so familiar. Her voice twists and turns and pushes its beautiful way under, over, and through every catchy chord progression and hooky lyric. 10,000 Stones is a must have for any folk fan willing to love pop music and any pop fan willing to give something a little folky a chance.

  • Absolutely takes my breath away
    author: Rocco

There is not a weak song on this CD. It perfectly showcases Adrianne's ability to use both her power and her vulnerablity. As someone who saw her perform 3 times in 8 days, I can say that this CD captures the full flavor of what I saw in person. 10,000 Stones is a truly amazing experience, satisfying on many levels. I cannot recommend this strongly enough.

I really dig the way it was mixed at different locals and the balance that was achieved vocally and instrumentally through the whole cd. I would like to hire her producer!

  •  Adrianne is one of the best song writers of our time!
    author: Bystander Magazine

I bought Adrianne's CD on a whim because I thought the cover was cool. Man, was I in for a surprise! Her CD is great! The lyrics are phenominal, her voice is beautiful and cutting and she sings from the heart, an area where many other vocalists falter. Now I put Adrianne right up there with some of my other favorite female song-writers, Alanis Morisette, Amy Mann and Cyndi Lauper. I was recently planning to burn some new CD mixes and found that I wanted to use virtually every song on her album, which is really saying something because the other songs I'm considering are by highly touted top-of-the-line artists. I think the tendency is to consider them better because they already have the recognition. I feel confident that with her supreme talent, if Adrianne sticks with music, one day she will get that top-of-the-line recognition she so richly deserves. Until then, she'll remain one of the great unsung talents in American Music.

  • 10,000 stones is self-propelled fireworks!

I just got Adrianne's 10,000 stones cd and what a wonderful journey this was for my mind to take. I enjoyed the whole cd not just parts of it from the time when I place the cd into the player-to the end. WOW! What a powerhouse disk. If you are looking for a gateway to power packed feelings this is for you. Thanks Adrianne for the fireworks packed into a cd.

    author: www.lovinglisa.blogspot.com

Bought this CD after seeing Adrianne live in NYC. WOW. It's all been said all ready by others. This CD is absolutely addictive, and on repeat in my car, and in my office. An absolutely fantastic piece of work, that should not be missed by any music lover.

  • Beyond Amazing!
    author: Scott Faithfull

This is by far one of the most amazing CDs I've bought in quite a very long time...aside from Adrianne's first CD. I was left speechless after just one listen and since then I've been addicted and listen to this CD several times a day while working. Her voice, her lyrics, the music...all beyond words. A beautiful release that truly deserves to be heard by all lovers of great music!

  • author: Laurel

I've had this CD playing on my work computer over and over for 2 weeks straight. I bought it out of the blue and can't get over that I hadn't heard of her before. This is the music that should be playing on every radio in America!

  • Great As Usual
    author: Mike M.

It's been a couple of years since I've checked on Adrianne's success, but this CD speaks volumes. Her writing is nothing sure of amazing. Truly a God given talent.

  • Breathtakingly somber and beautiful- an immaculate followup to For Adeline
    author: Bethany Bauman

The musical production of this piece is masterfully done. Adrianne's voice is everchanging, but still contains that place in us that moves us.

  • author: www.JenWoodhouse.com

Adrianne's songs are well-crafted, well-thought out and well-delivered. Very imaginative, clever lyrics, vocal delivery... wow. An admirable effort indeed. Nice to know there are still players out there making quality, intelligent music.

  • Class Act
    author: Collected Sounds

There is something about Adrianne's voice that makes me feel very peaceful, comfortable…there aren't very many voices that do this to me, really just a handful. It's a voice I could listen to all day. Well, sometimes I do. The music is pop with a bit of a folky flair. Good solid pop music. The songs are well written, lyrically as well as melodically interesting. The musicianship is fantastic and so is the production. (see link above for full review)

  • ~!~!~!~ Awesome & Inspiring~!~!~!~
author: Haylinne, dreamhayz@aol.com (a proud lesbian fan)

I love this CD, Adrianne your voice in incrediable, this Cd is more like the music you hear on the radio but still real enough that you can identify with it, things you can actually relate to, the lyrics & the music are Awesome, I love the subtle hint about your feeling towards women. Good Luck, When are you coming to Miami?

  • Adrianne's Best Yet
    author: Jen Heller

With "10,000 Stones," Adrianne has outdone herself yet again. Her lyrics are smart, and her melodies addictive. "Love to You" is heartbreaking -- the kind of ballad that belongs in a movie.

  • Awesome, as usual
    author: Kathi Fuentevilla

I'm always afraid of being disappointed by a new cd by a favorite artist, the songs you're used to and love are hard to follow up. Adrianne has definitely not disappointed here. Songs that move and can be related to, by anyone. I played When She Takes over & over again for a solid week. Love this CD!

  • Wonderful!!!
    author: Olivia Collins

This CD was amazing. I truly believe it is the best thus far. I always look forward to hearing new tracks by Adrianne, and this CD did not disappoint. I have already recommended it to all of my friends and am recruiting new fans in the Colorado area. Yay!

  • Adrianne's new release is great.
    author: Kendra Clarke

I have been a long time fan of Adrianne, and this cd just reproved to me why that's so. 10,000 Stones is a phenomenal record that I could listen to and never get sick of. I would highly recommend this cd to anyone.

  • No surprise! Adrianne delivers chills once again to my spine!
    author: Justin Kosak

I knew that this CD would show all that Adrianne has learned in the past years since her last album, but I also knew that she would stay true to herself. I knew that this album would deliver that soulful, controlled, powerful, emoful (if you will) voice that caught my attention the first time I heard her. The title track has become one of my favorite anthems from the album, along with Hurricane. I find myself chanting my favorite verses over and over while alone on the city streets. This CD is no surprise, but such a blessed gift! Thank you Adrianne-keep up the extraordinary work and we will keep on listening in awe.

  • 5 Stars!
    author: Ryan Tradel

07.30.04 Adrianne: 10,000 Stones I sincerely hope this is the album that places Adrianne further into the national spotlight, because she deserves it. A creatively-written album penned by this pensive singer-songwriter reveals her sentiments and innate ability to produce music that raises the bar in the acoustic rock genre. "10,000 Stones" reveals the core of Adrianne's journey into self discovery. In it, she sings, "10,000 stones are hanging in my heart/No I don't know how they don't tear me apart/How could I ever believe/10,000 stones would build the best of me." This lushly deep song, comprised of easy electric guitar chords and a smooth rhythm, is the basis of this album—which overall explores Adrianne's personal trials and triumphs during the past few years. "December" is an acoustic-based song wistfully strummed and seemingly magical in its "love in winter" content. She blends elements of Catie Curtis, Emm Gryner and Jen Foster into this vibrant collection of exquisitely mastered tracks, and I enjoyed all of them. Make sure to listen on for a secret song (named "Lady Blue"?)that is peacefully serene. Favorite Tracks: 10,000 Stones, Just Can't Wait Rating: 5 stars

  • Can't stop listening to it
    author: Chet

A foot high stack of CDs on my desk is collecting dust because 10,000 Stones is in a seemingly permanent rotation. I force myself to leave the disc at work when I leave for the day ... and find myself humming the songs all the way home and long in to the night. Great stuff.

  • Wow.
    author: Rachel Bronsin

This is one of the best discs I've heard in a long time. Well done!
