Album Notes

ADVERSUS is one of the most interesting german gothic-avantgarde bands rising up in the last years. After their successful 2003 debut album "Winter, so unsagbar Winter..." and the second album "Einer Nacht Gewesenes" (2005) the band has gained an overwhelming status in the German gothic and metal scene, far away from the usual sounds in that genre. This all happened without the marketing structures of the big music business: ADVERSUS is still a real underground band on a small German underground label.

The music by ADVERSUS is a very unique mix of highly different style elements from gothic metal / electro / industrial / folk / medieval / classic orchestra, creating atmospheres of very special character. Instruments like violin, contrabass, orchestra are combined with metal guitar, electro sequences, classic female vocals, various male vocal styles from whispering to aggressive shouting.

After the upmost bombastic soundwalls of the first 2 albums, now "Laya" (2007) shows the more calm and acoustic side of this band's work. Includes the new clubhit "Der Wind auf den Feldern" and a new acoustic version of their very first clubhit "Seelenwinter", and a live videoclip on extra datatrack!
