aether (pronounced 'ether') is a Columbus based post-rock trio with a cinematic sound. Cerebral and gutsy, introspective and explosive, this instrumental ensemble knows when to hold back and how to let go.
More about harmony than melody, aether creates sonic landscapes. The big atmosphere of long and short form orchestrations for guitar, bass, and drums with synthesizer and sampler calls to mind the highway-strewn Midwest in all its late winter bleakness.
In between the frames is the group's 2004 release.
"Everything about this album is stunning." - Phil Jackson, http://www.zeitgeist-scot.co.uk
"This EP is all the more a spectacular departure from the norm." - Stephen Slaybaugh, the Columbus Alive
In between the frames is currently playing on radio stations in the Midwest, the West coast, and on BBC6 Digital Radio.
In between the frames has received critical acclaim from music critics domestically and in Europe.

Nice Instrumental Rock

It is some nice relaxing music to go to sleep by. It has a lot of keyboard playing and other interesting parts. I think it was well worth the money.

It might be hard justifying to yourself that it is worthwhile getting this CD for just 4 songs, but rest assured that this CD is well worth it. As well, although this CD only has 4 songs, the shortest of the 4 is 6:55 min long so all together this CD is about 30 min long which is longer than some other CD's with double the songs.

I caught aether at a mini-music fest in Harrisburg in July 2004. I was there to see a friend’s band and showed up a little early. As destiny has it I caught aether's entire set and I was blown away. In between the frames is beautiful, but does not do these guys complete justice. Anyone who can check them out live - do so - its truly amazing! Aether- do some more touring in PA!!
