ARTURO FIESTA CIRCO is the moniker used by singer and songwriter Sergio Calonego. His "Circus" is a circle of musician friends who have literally dragged him out his "bathroom" and the pubs, as he likes to say on stage, where he played his blues and rehearsed his vision of the European song tradition coming from the French and Italian greats like Aznavour, Brél, Conte and Capossela.
What makes him truly original is the rock edge to the arrangements that compel the listener to sympathize with his songs' characters thanks to a unique vision of songwriting and expression, where music is at the centre of the stage and the stories are the actors at play. This is why his debut album was recorded on stage but it is not a "live album" - rather, a "living collection of songs".
