Afro:Baile Records delivers the global sound with our first release, “The Southern Root” compilation. The 11- track song CD is an insight to some of the best local independent world beat artists from across the USA, Brazil, Jamaica, Latin America & Africa. Each, band, artist selected for this compilation has been a featured guest at the award winning monthly event “Afro:Baile” held each month in Tempe, Az. The event hosts; as an international hub for touring bands and local world beat artists alike.

“Compiling such a Cd was hard work, but it had to happen”, says Afro:Baile founder DJ SEDUCE. “I wanted to be able to put fourth a true representation of some of the best globetrotting bands that were under the radar for the most part”. The cd boasts an astonishing mix of multi-genre fusion sounds in Latin Jazz, Cumbia, Afrobeat, Marimba, Batucada, Spanish Pop & Reggae music from legendary artists as well as the new generation of rising stars of world beat.
