Self titled After the Chase, this debut album captures the first two years of original, creative song-writing of Nathan and Jenna Strong. Captivating lyrics, melodically intricate harmonies, and a wide variety of acoustic instruments make this album a pleasure to listen to. Piano and acoustic guitar drive the majority of songs, backed up by violin, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, acoustic drums, bass, and a wide variety of percussion instruments.

Buy this now so you can say you did before they were on the radio. Excellent songwriting and performances. More first rate songs than typically on a cd from well known artists. A very nice range of material, not one song 10 ways like many debuts.

these guys will soothe both your ears and your heart. it's clear that this group has something to say, and the poetry and instrumentation are meticulously well done on this album. You simply won't be disappointed for spending your money on this indie group. the song 'run' is probably the best on the album, followed by the more serious song 'come take your chances'--which features the best hook on the album with 'come take your chances on the king of romances'. the album ends with a charming, original take on the prodigal son story. 5 stars easily.
