AGGRESSIVE DISORDER is a blistering power metal trio that hails from Philadelphia, PA. Proudly waving the flag of "old school" heavy metal, in the vein of Testament, Pro-Pain, Motorhead and the like. Aggressive, uncompromising, driven, intense and diverse, have been used to describe AGGRESSIVE DISORDER's sound. The bands ferociously tight and rabidly energetic live shows have secured AGGRESSIVE DISORDER as a new breed of the old school.
In 2003 Vocalist/Guitarist Bruce Phillips and Drummer Chris Teot folded their project Instigation. As the material they were currently writing was taking a extreme turn. "The new material we were writing at the time was far from what we did with Instigation" stated Bruce in various interviews. With the disbanding of Instigation, the evolution to AGGRESSIVE DISORDER was complete.
In August 2004 the band recorded a two track demo. This demo was produced to plant the seeds of what was to come. Those tracks "Fair Game" and "Reflection" were released in early 2005. The demo was distributed heavily by management and the band. Gaining the band heavy press, and strong radio rotation.
Riding the wave of support. The band entered the studio in March '05 to cut demos. Those demos promptly lead to the band heading back into the studio to record their first full-length album "Aggression Is A State Of Mind". "We just don't want any filler on this album" stated Drummer Chris Teot during the sessions. Needless to say. The two year writing process paid off.
During the sessions the band recruited long time friend Joe Bardi to fill the Bass position. From June to September the band pounded out what would become their debut album. Reaction from fans and press have been nothing less than supportive, as the band quickly sold out the initial pressing of the release.
Fast forward to 2007. As the band begins to write material for their next album, "Aggression Is A State Of Mind" will once again see a new life. In January the album will be re-issued and will also feature five demo tracks taken from the March '05 sessions. One of those demo tracks will be a previously unreleased track "Into The Future". The CD release will be available from the bands web site, as well as in digital formats.
"We all know people want to have it on demand" Bruce comments "So working with Management, we're making the release available as a CD or as a download option as well".
Look for AGGRESSIVE DISORDER's follow up album in late 2008.

By the end of the first track “The Strength”, I had rips in my jeans, my t-shirt had lost its sleeves, and fuck me! If I hadn’t sprouted big bangs! Thank the Gods of Ye Olde ‘Eavy Me’al that the song was under four minutes long or I just know that I would’ve ended up with something leopard-print to explain to the wife. That’s how “heavy-f*#king-metal” Aggressive Disorder is.
My first impression wasn’t that good, but I gave it a couple of plays, and it eventually grabbed my head and banged it for me. It’s got everything power metal should… even what you didn’t like about it 20 years ago. Like when the whole band yells out lines of the song… or is that just me? The production is slightly thin, and the vocals lack heaviness a bit, but for the most part, I couldn’t imagine anything about this debut full-length being done any differently. And that’s why this CD gets 10/10 for “Nostalgic Value”. Musically it hearkens back to the days of Testament, Anthrax and some third band that does a power ballad about the problems inherent in the system. The guitarist/vocalist knows his stuff, the drummer does what’s expected, and the bass player does what he’s told quietly in the corner, just like the days of Metal-yore. Did I mention that it’s even got the parts when the whole band yells out lyrics?
I fully expected this to be a really old demo tape that one of them had found in his long-abandoned spandex-drawer, but it’s actually a re-issue of a 2005 album, with five demo tracks (one unreleased) as an added bonus. The band’s only 3 years old, with another full-length due for release later this year.
Production: 5/10; Originality: 5/10; Instruments: 9/10; Vocals 7/10
Overall: 8/10 (I know it doesn’t add up, but I really liked the effect it had on me)

Some old school thrash is the ticket here. The band can write some kick ass riffs as the 3rd song has some of best riffs my ears have heard in a while. The band remind me of Wargasm a bit, which is not a bad thing at all. There is also 5 demo tracks on here so you get 15 tunes in all and any thrash fan or old school metal fan will want this and the band also got a nice thick production to boot
