The members of this Richmond, VA based band hail from all over the US. Combining their diverse backgrounds (folk, bluegrass, classical, country, jazz, and beyond), they strive to achieve a sound all their own while keeping true to their roots, and keeping the acoustic tradition alive.

It's difficult to find the right words to describe A Good Natured Riot. But that hasn't stopped rising legions of fans from coming to see them. These 5 acoustic musicians have come from all over the map, geographically and musically, to create some inspired music. Some have described their sound as folky, funky. Some say it's "ecleticgrass," and that it's infused with some jazzy soul. But all seem to agree: it's a lot of fun.

The band uses a variety of musical instruments from guitars to mandolins to dobro to washboard to add to the fun. Punctuated by tight harmonies and percussive textures; they've found a unique groove all their own...
