Higher Praise Ministries located in Detroit Michigan is where the Amazing Grace Praise Band rang in the New Year (2009) with a very lively congregation. This CD is a powerful representation of the Sacred Steel experience in a live church setting where the energy from the congregation infused with the presence of the Holy Spirit can be felt. This unique type of worship can be traced back to the Church of the Living God, a church organization founded by Mary Lena Lewis Tate in 1903. The Amazing Grace Praise Band led by sacred steel guitarist Del Grace Sr., are committed to preserving this unique 70 + year legacy of steel guitar music.

Most churches use the Hammond organ or other keyboard instruments to usher in the spirit during there worship services but not this church. The church of the Living God, is an African American church that uses the steel guitar as the lead instrument in the band ensemble. Most people have never heard of such a thing and are amazed when they experience the uniqueness of praise and worship using string instruments. The Amazing Grace Praise Band use our music as a tool to spread the gospel message of Jesus Christ to those who will receive it.

Sacred Steel Legend Henry Wayne White is the Pastor of Higher Praise Ministries along with his wife, Co-Pastor Drucilla White both of Detroit, Michigan.
