Album Notes

A Human And His Stds

"A Human and His Stds" have been a band for a little over a year and a half now. Started by founding member, A Human, he has recuited others such as; Princess Crabs as Drummer 1 (but didn't stay in the band very long), and Tricho on bass. The Remaining members stand today: A Human : Vocals/ Guitar, St Clap : Drums / Backup Vocals, and El Hepitisto : Bass / Backup Vocals.
Their first album on Backdoor Records, "Punk Rock Ballads for the Ugly and Unloved", included such hits as "Pour Me", "The Devil Went Down to Santa Maria", and "Punker Bob". All but one of the songs are soon to be available as Music Videos on "Punk Rock Ballads - The Music Videos". They have opened for such bands as; Total Chaos, Naked Aggression, D.I., The Briefs, The Smut Peddlers, The Beatles, New Tommorrow, and Red Tape. The bands influences vary greatly from old skool Punk (I.E. Conflict, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat) to Classical (I.E. Beethoven, Shubert) to obscure bands (I.E. Marz Volta, Black Heart Procession, Sigur Ros), although their music reflects a completly unique project. They have worked very hard to be an influential force in their area, and have made almost every gig a charity event. Local, national, sexual abuse victim support, greenpeace, and homeless charities include some of the causes the band has fought for. If kids bring in cans of food to a show, they drop money off the entrance fee, and all food is donated.

While on their way to producing their 2nd CD album, and setting up a nationwide tour, they are never resting and always diligently seeking ways to anounce their presence. Such as mailing CD's nationwide to public libraries, so their album can always be available (especially to those who cannot afford to buy new CD's from the store). Despite the difficulties a trio can face as a band, Backdoor Records is proud to have them on the roster, and of their incredible sound and vision.
