Great songwriting with a phenomenal voice. I haven't been into piano/pop lately but this has really caught my attention. Nice work Aileen.

Paron's initial album evokes a dash of Fiona Apple (of the Criminal/Shadowboxer era), and a smattering of Portishead's Beth Gibbons, but deserves consideration on its own merits: the songs are thoughtful and poetic, and reward close listening for both the lyricss and the harmony. Particular favorites for me are Skyscrapers and Tidal - the latter ably evokes the Northwest for me: complex and often melancholy. Recommended!
